Customers should NOT pack medications, car keys, tickets, passports and other legal documentation, or valuable items such as jewelry or cameras in checked luggage.

 Domestic Free Luggage Allowance

Each ticketed passenger traveling domestically is allowed the following pieces of luggage:

Two pieces of checked luggage and one carry on, or three pieces of checked luggage with no carry on, subject to the following limitations:

Checked Luggage


Most Airlines will accept up to three pieces of checked luggage without charge to customers providing a maximum weight of 50 pounds and a maximum total linear dimension (length plus width plus height) of 62 inches is not exceeded. These maximums stated are per piece of checked luggage.  Please check with the airlines before you complete your final packing.

Carry-On Luggage


When luggage is carried on-board the aircraft, it must be of a size and shape to allow for storage in aircraft overhead compartments, or underneath the seat in front of the passenger. Each person traveling in Coach Class is allowed to carry on-board the aircraft one piece of luggage. This piece of luggage must not exceed 45 linear inches (9 inches by 14 inches by 22 inches) and also must not exceed 40 pounds. In addition to this one piece of carry-on luggage, customers may also carry on-board a briefcase or laptop computer or purse. In addition, each passenger may carry a coat, umbrella, or other "special" items.

"Special" Items include:
crutches
cane
brace
prosthesis
collapsible manual wheelchair
one stroller
infant car seat
infant diaper bag
2 Golf Clubs (if approved storage space is available)
reading material
camera
two wheeled luggage cart provided combined cart and bag fits under the seat or overhead bin

Passengers traveling in First Class will be allowed two pieces of carry-on luggage with the same size and weight restrictions as Coach Class, and also may carry a briefcase or laptop computer or purse. Luggage not meeting these specifications must be transported as checked luggage.

All items not needed in flight should be checked. Passengers should carry on medicine, keys, important papers, and travel documents (passport).

International Free Luggage Allowance

Checked Luggage
Most Airlines will accept a total of two pieces of checked luggage, subject to the same maximum weight limitation as stated for domestic travel, which is 50 pounds per piece and not more than 62 linear inches per piece.

Carry-On Luggage
Most Airlines will accept one carry-on item, with a maximum outside linear dimension of 45 inches. This piece must be of a size and shape to fit under the seat in front of the passenger, or in an enclosed overhead compartment. In addition to the one piece of carry-on luggage, customers may also carry a briefcase or a laptop computer or a purse. Luggage not meeting these specifications must be transported as checked baggage.

Check-In Guidelines

Domestic Flights: All advance seat assignments are subject to cancellation if the passenger has not checked in and received a boarding pass from the airline agent at least 20 minutes prior to departure. In the event of an overbooking, passengers who have not checked-in at least 10 minutes prior to boarding may be subject to cancellation and may be denied compensation for the missed flight.

International Flights: All advance seat assignments are subject to cancellation and may be denied compensation when check-in is less than: 30 minutes prior to departure to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean; 60 minutes prior to departure for all other international flights. Due to increased security measures, the recommended check-in times for all international flights with a final destination of the U.S. is 1-½ hours for First Class and World Business Class and 2-½ hours for Coach Class.
