Wheelchairs:
Persons requiring wheelchairs have special
needs, and we're not always in the best position to assure those needs
are met. The airline must ensure that they can meet
your needs and requirements.
If you have specific seating requirements or travel with your
wheelchair, or have any other
needs with respect to certain challenges you might have, we recommend
you contact your airline.
Pets:
Traveling with a pet, other than a guide dog,
requires special handling by the airline. If
your pet is small enough to take in the cabin with you, the
airline may restrict the number
of pets in the cabin. Similarly, your pet may travel in the baggage
compartment on the same flight
as you; however, each airline has certain restrictions and
requirements which must be met for this to happen. We recommend
that you contact your airline to make sure your and your pet's needs
are properly met.
Unaccompanied Minors:
Minors traveling by themselves (under the
age of 12 for most carriers, 14 for
Northwest) represent a unique challenge for the airline, and
very significant concerns for
the responsible adult. As a result, each airline ascertain rules and
regulations regarding the accommodation
of unaccompanied minors. Some airlines restrict unaccompanied
minors from certain flights, such as night-time flights. Most
carriers charge a fee for ensuring the minor is properly cared for
during his/her journey. We
strongly recommend that you directly contact your airline.
Special Meals:
Most carriers provide for special meals although
their availability varies. We'll send your meal
request to the airline when you complete your reservation; but for
now, you'll need to contact
your airline to confirm the availability of the request on your specific
flight. Soon we'll be able to let you know in your confirmation
statement whether the special
request was confirmed.
Supplemental Oxygen:
Some carriers have the ability to provide
supplemental oxygen during a flight when required by a traveler for
medical reasons. The use of supplemental oxygen is regulated
by the FAA and therefore controlled by the airline. The airline also
charges a fee for this
service. If you require the carrier to plan for supplemental oxygen
during your flight, we
recommend that you book these flights directly with your airline.
